Girls Night Again

Last Saturday we headed down to SLC. We stayed at the Downtown Marriott, did some shopping at The Gateway, and ate lots of yummy food. I don't know what I would do without these fun outings. Thanks Girls!!!!!!

Christmas 2008

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We started out the morning with Carlee opening her gifts from Santa. This whole month we have been telling her that Santa was not going to be bringing her toys. He was going to give her some Dumbo ears instead.(she does not listen very well) So after the first few presents she says to Chad & I Nener Nener Nener, I told you Santa wasn't going to give me ears!!!:):) Cami & Rod came over and enjoyed some of the excitement with us.

We then headed over to my dads house. Can we say WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!! It was snowing & blowing the entire ride there. When we got there we noticed that my brother had his truck stuck. So when it was time to leave all the men head out to get him unstuck including my dad (who had a 5 bypass surgery 20 days ago) They start out in my dads truck which gets stuck. So my dad gets on his tractor and pulls his truck and my brothers truck out. Chad gets in our truck to get it warm and realizes that he is stuck as well. We had some good laughs.

From there we headed to Cami & Rod's house and spent most of the day. We are so lucky to have such a loving and giving family. We don't know what we would do without them.

How things can change

We as a family had such fun & exciting news at the first of the week but that changed by the end of the week. My Dad called me on Wednesday night and said he had been in the ER all day because he had been having some chest pains. They did a bunch of tests and sent him down to Mckay Dee in Ogden on Thursday for an angiogram. From what I understand that is when they place a catheter in his leg that goes up to his heart. It takes pictures and checks for blockages. So if it showed he had some small blockages then they could place some stints at that time. This is what we were all hoping for. But no! I received the news at work on Thursday afternoon that he would be going in for a 5 bypass heart surgery at 6:00AM on Friday. So most of you that know me could only imagine what is going through my head. Your right my mom. Here I am thinking that I am going to be parent less due to heart problems. Friday was a very very long day. He was in surgery for about 6 1/2 hours. During his surgery a nurse would come out every 2 hours and give us an update. His heart surgeon is great and has explained everything very well. He was supposed to be in ICU for 3 days but was discharged yesterday to another floor. So far everything is going well but we have a long road ahead of us as a family. I will keep you all updated.

We went for our ultrasound on Monday morning at 7 and found out our great news!!!! I am feeling really good but am quite MOODY!!!! My clothes are starting to get that tight feeling. I am at the stage where people either think I am pregnant or I am just fat.
Carlee seems to be somewhat excited to be a BIG sister. She keeps saying that she has a baby in her tummy like her mommy. We tell her that you can not tell people that.:):)

For those of you who know Reggie Ravsten you will enjoy this post. I ran into Reggie at Lee's Marketplace on Halloween as we were trick or treating. Megan was there also and whispered into his ear that I was having a baby. So you can imagine his REACTION!!!!! I received a phone call from him the next morning wanting to know what Chad's grandparents names were so that he could make us a list of names :):) Monday when I got home from work my name list was waiting for me. Carlee's Birthday Party

Carlee will be turning 3 on Monday. We had her Birthday party on Saturday at Fredrico's Pizza. She had such a fun time and recieved alot of fun gifts. Her favorite has been her Disney princess dress up clothes & Disney princess makeup. Thank you to everybody for such a fun day!!!!!

This year when I asked Carlee what she wanted to be for Halloween she said "Snow White" I thought to myself my child has never even seen the movie but Snow White it will be. When we were looking for her costume we came across some Teletubbies. I looked at her and said NO WAY!!!!!! We were lucky enough to find a beautiful dress. I have to say she is a beautiful Snow White.

Another Girls Night

Over the weekend we had another girls night. We stayed over at Sherwood Hills Resort & Spa. And let me tell you the Spa was FABULOUS!!!! Never been to one before were you get naked and put a robe on :) Since there was a group of us they even had fresh fruit, cookies, & drinks. YUMMY Later that night we went for a bite to eat at "The Belle Monte" restaurant, then we hit the hot tub. Girls nights are so fun cause we stay up till 3 in the morning talking about lots of things. I learn something new about each girlfriend every time. Nat gave us all instructions on how to please our men down below. She is quite TALENTED :):):) We will see if it works!!!!!

On Aug 17 my Grandma Clark turned 91. What an amazing woman. Grandma has been such a great example to me over the years. She is loving, caring, VERY honest, & understanding. She has always been there for me whenever I have needed anything. You know exactly were you stand with her. She is not afraid to tell you what is on her mind :)
Thank you Grandma for the long talks and the many many memories that we have shared together. I don't know what I would do without you. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

We went down to SLC over Pioneer Day weekend and went to a Bee's baseball game. Wow was it HOT!!!!!! Our friends Lisa & Ty came along even though Lisa broke her ankle 3weeks earlier. We rounded up a wheelchair and away we went. There is nothing better than a hot summer day watching baseball, drinking warm beer, & eating a hot dog.

Girls Night

So I have been meaning to post this for awhile but my friend Traci just sent me these pics. I forgot my camera once again. This was our GIRLS NIGHT back at the first of June. We went to the Melting Pot, hung out at the Huddle, slept over at Nat's house and went shopping the next day. It was a very FUN night. These girls have become some great friends to me. Cassie & Nat have been friends with Chad for several years. Thanks guys for the friendship, I hope there are many more of these GIRLS NIGHTS to come.

So I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to Chantel & Steve for inviting us down for a BBQ. It was so much fun to hang out!!! Carlee had a blast jumping on the neighbors trampoline and swing set. We enjoyed catching up with everyone and hope to do it more often. THANKS AGAIN!!!! :):) We were talking to much we forgot to take any pics. Maybe next time.

Camping Again!!!

We went camping over the weekend and had a lot of fun. We headed up to Left Hand Fork on Friday evening thinking that there was going to be plenty of spots. Ha, think again!!! It was so crowded. It seemed like it was a holiday weekend. We almost gave up and came home due to there not being any spots. As we were headed back down we noticed a small spot and took it. We didn't have any shade but it was grassy. We went for a 4 wheeler ride on Saturday and boy was it dusty. There was a spring that we went to and let the kids play in the water. They had so much fun. Carlee can't wait until her next camping trip. She loves it :):)

So my sweet 2 1/2 year old has become a GREAT & OBNOXIOUS back seat driver!!! Every time we are in the car she tells me were to turn, when to go, ETC... When we are at a stop light she says "Go mommy Go" over and over. So Chad & I have tried to teach her that the green light means GO, the red light means STOP, and the yellow light means GO FASTER. Even when we are going through a drive thru and there is a car in front of us she says "Go mommy Go". We've tried to explain we have to wait our turn. So every once in a while when we are waiting she says "Wait our turn" KIDS!!!!

Camping over Memorial Weekend

We got us a NEW camping trailer so we had to try it out this past weekend. We wanted to go above Hardware Ranch but due to the rainy weather it was really really muddy so we camped in the Hardware Ranch parking lot!!! Yee Haw!!! It actually turned out to be pretty fun. We had 6 trailers in all. We all had a blast!!!

Okay so I just had to share this exciting news! No I am not pregnant!!!!! Carlee went pee pee on the potty last night for the first time. We were so excited :) We had to call Aunt Cami and Grandma Sharon to tell them. She was so excited. Hopefully this is the start of NO diapers :) Probably wishful thinking.

Chantel has done it again. Her posts always make me think of something to add to mine. What a great tribute she did for Mothers Day. It made me think of my mom and what a great example she was to me. I found some pictures and thought I should make a tribute to her. What an amazing woman she was. She was always full of life. Always smiling and laughing. Her laugh was so contagious. I remember when she toke me and some friends to see Home Alone in the theater and I told my friends that we needed to sit in the front of the theatre because my moms laugh was so loud and I didn't want to be embarrassed. So we sat in the front and my mom sat in the back. Do you think we could still hear her? You bet ya!!! Every time that I laugh I think of her. :) Happy Mothers Day MOM!!! I sure do miss you. As for the pictures that is me and my mom, I'm not sure how old I am in that pic. Then there is my mom being silly in the bath tub. I had to post that. It shows what a goof ball she is. And then the last pic is of her with her beautiful SMILE!!

Lisa & Ty had a BBQ on Saturday night. Our first one of the year!!!!! We had so much fun just sitting around the fire and B.S.ing. As you can tell we had a few beers too. For those of you who like beer, you need to try the new Bud Lime. It is YUMMY!!! Also I got a new hairdo, I chopped it off. I was so ready for a change. When someone has commented me on it, they say they like it and Chad says, "Yeah what's left of it!" :) He hates short hair, but I tell him you don't have to do it everyday. RIGHT???

Our dog Amos has been in need of a bath for weeks so Chad decided to give him one tonight. And of course Carlee had to help :) Before she went outside to help I told her she needed to get her some shoes so she finds her pink camo camping shoes. Then I tell her she needs some socks to wear with her shoes so she finds some purple ones with flowers. What a stylish little girl I have!!! People always say to pick your arguments :) I figured she was just going to get wet so I didn't need to argue with her about her wardrobe.

Okay so I can't quit thinking about Chantel's blog & her cute daughter Salem. They have really made me think of some special people in my life!! As you all know My aunt Jane and I were very very close. She taught me so many things. PATIENCE being one of them. The picture above is her at her last Christmas program in 2005. Who knows what she asked for that year, probably a George Strait CD. The other picture is Reggie helping us out at the Easter Egg Hunt at Lee's Marketplace in Logan. He was so excited to get a picture with us. Carlee was not to sure about him. I hope as she gets older she can be like Salem.

Baby Animal Days

So I didn't realize that baby animal days goes for 3 weeks. We went on Saturday with my inlaws and Carlee's cousins. It was really fun to see Carlee interact with the animals. She went twice last weekend without me, once with Becky & Dylan and then with her Aunt Cami. I think there was alot more to see and do last weekend. When we got there she knew exactly were she wanted to go. I really wanted to let her ride a pony but I knew that if I payed for it she would've chickened out.

Here we all are trying to get situated to take pictures. We did not have much choice for a backdrop due to the season. We found these trees at Bear River High School. What can we say, there was not sitting fee. Carlee was not in any mood to take pictures. She cried the entire time. She was more fasinated with what was going on around her and wanting to play with the girls!!!!
So I am at least a week behind. On Sunday the 13th it was Chad's step dads birthday so we had a party with a good Sunday dinner. A roast with all the fixins', (thanks Sharon). We all haven't been together since Christmas so we decided to take some family pictures. This is Carlee's uncle Greg sharing pistachios. He kept giving them to her. I told him when she has the pistachio SHITS I was going to bring her to his house!!!!!

Camping & 4 wheeling

So over the weekend we went on our 1st camping & 4wheeling trip of the year. Some people would call us crazy because it was very COLD!!!! We woke up to snow on Sunday morning. BURRRRR!!! Everytime there is a Kodak moment by batteries are usually dead and that is what happened this weekend. I wanted a picture of Carlee all bundled up, helmet and all but low and behold my batteries were dead, so this is a pic of Carlee & Chad getting ready to go for the weekend. There will be many more camping to trips to come this year so I will make sure my batteries are charged.

So on Friday night a bunch of us went out for my sister Cami's birthday to The WHITE OWL. She is getting old. She didn't even close the bar down. I did it for her. I have to admit that I got really drunk. The beer was very tasty!!! This is my good friend & co-worker Lisa. Wow, we had so much fun. It's not very often I get out with my friends and just let loose. PARTY ON!!!!!!

Carlee had so much fun easter egg hunting. But we found out that she does not like the Easter Bunny. She would say, "Me no like the Easter Bunny Mommy." We went to 5 hunts and can I say tummy ache!!! I think that I will gain at least 5 lbs just eating Carlee's candy.
